Korea to get 1Gbps, where’s America at?

Today on Gizmodo, there was an article announcing that Korea claims that they will be supplying 1Gbps broadband connections by the year 2012.  How does the U.S. stack up?  Currently some of the fastest broadband connection offerings available for home use is offered by Comcast with their 50Mbps offering for $150 a month.  Verizon also offers 50Mbps download speeds over their FiOS fiber.  Charter is in the process of offering 60Mbps.  Unfortunately, I don’t live in an area that offers such awesome download speeds.  The best I can do at the moment is 16Mbps. Don’t place body parts down the chute!

So I come across humorous things from time to time; or so I think and thought I would share.  The sign probably means something less but I saw it during Halloween and took the signage literally.  Take a look: Okay,  so people should not put their arms are legs in the soiled linen chute but when I first read it, I thought it was a joke that advised people to NOT dump body parts down the chute.  Much funnier to me.
