The defining speech that Barack Obama made Tuesday morning, March 18, 2008 is witnessed as one of the greatest of speeches in American history. I over heard parts and pieces and actually read through the entire text here. (The video is there as well.) After reading the transcript of the speech, my emotions are a bit unsure. In a way, I am glad Obama decided to have this speech and face criticism and controversies head on. Especiallly the race issue because everyone makes it a larger part than it really should be. Yes it is in the American history. Yes it effects all races. But if we are to be a true United States and to be a real American, we need to stand united as one and not divided.
Opposing views will surface that would like to flank these issues with other issues and make our minds wander and focus on other problems but we should not kid ourselves. We need to pay more attention to what is close to us; home. The great social divide whether it is the old or young, black or white, rich or poor. The looming fear that the economy is going into recession. Health care for the baby boomer generation ready to retire. Real estate industry faltering and financing on the verge of not being able to withstand. Rise of energy costs and the decline of the once proud American dollar. Its not the war in Iraq we should be focused upon as our valuable resources are being sent overseas to what seems to be an endless war like Vietnam.

Every time before I fly I always feel a bit nervous. Perhaps its the anticipation of finally getting onto the plane or the fact that I will be on vacation and will do not have to worry about work for the next two weeks. Always get the feeling that I have not closed up something or left something behind.
Standing in the duty free shop is one way to get my mind lost. Looking at the different liquor bottles helps me out. I drank a bit too much the night before. It was my cousin’s United States version wedding reception, in other words, a high school reunion of some sorts. It makes me wonder when my own reception will take place and how it will be like.

A meal at a casual restaurant such as BJ’s or TGIFridays. Rowdy crowd. Good atmosphere. Drinks. Good times.

While reading through Digg, I came across this Flickr site titled “Obscene Interior“. I thought it was a great idea for art. It definitely takes a page out of the whole Apple iPod commercial where everyone is a silhouette but the picture is taken from porn. Snap shots of porn stars in action doing the dirty deed. Interesting art concept and I would rather just call it SFW(Safe for work) porn.

I recently read through a study title “Dreams: Night School” and it basically explores and defines exactly what dreams are. After running tests on lab mice from prohibiting them ever obtaining REM sleep (dream state); these mice functioned poorly and were not able to rely on their instinctive nature to react. The article further explains the reason our dreams tentatively have a negative tone is due to the fact that in our dreams, we put ourselves in situations were we are tested to react in preparation for reality. It does make sense as most of our dreams are typically negative even nightmarish. The worst possible situations we find ourselves are typically in dreams but how we end up saving the day or overcoming it in our dream is what helps us achieve in reality.

So I come across humorous things from time to time; or so I think and thought I would share. The sign probably means something less but I saw it during Halloween and took the signage literally. Take a look:

Look closely to the picture to the right and you will realize that is the box to a limited production of a premium tequila so called Gran Patron. Supposedly there are only 50 available in California. No, I did not have the chance to try some or even get the box as a souvenir but did manage to take some pictures with my phone.
There is nothing to review except for the box itself. The box itself appears all too self-important as it is housing a beverage like the elixir of life but instead, it is holding a ultra-premium tequila. At this particular hotel, the Gran Patron is priced at a meager $125 per shot, not even good old Johnny Walker Blue can touch that.

I have a confession. I am guilty of using the handicap in the men’s room when I need to take a dump everyday at work. The reasoning is because the regular stall toilet seats sit too low and the small space feels to cramped in. I fell claustrophobic. I prefer the spacious luxury a mobile challenged person gets in the far last stall; the handicap stall.
Yes, it is selfish and I am guilty of using the stall when I am perfectly capable of using a regular stall. No doubt, I do feel bad when some body walks into the public restroom while I am handling my duty but, it just feels cleaner, more spacious that I am more at ease. Without it, I may have trouble using the public restroom to go number two.
