Better than the Hollywood wax museum…

Extreme masks for Halloween!Hello all! As usual, I get an inside look at some cool events where I work. This weekend happens to be the IMATS. Not sure what it stands for but it is makeup related. I know it simply as the Video Makeup Artist Show and it is not just your normal makeup you pick up at the local Sephora. These are heavy makeup for photography or the ones you see in movies.

Did you miss breakfast? No problem, head over to Flakes!

Flakes - movie coverWe are a nation lacking sleep.  I would rather sleep that extra 15 minutes than eat breakfast.  Do you eat breakfast?  If your like me, then you probably miss the most important meal of the day, EVERY DAY!  (The whole sleep topic will be discussed in another post)  So why do we leave out this most important meal of our day to get our day started?  I don’t have an answer to that but I do have an answer for having breakfast.

The subtle retouch can add a lot of character

Sometimes you find an image that needs little a work and I figured this would be a fun one because what can be done should be subtle. The girl in the image has great features and amazing eyes; but it is a bit dark. I tried to just clean it up a bit and add a bit more color to it.

Unconceivable collapse

after the Lakers collapse and lose 24 point lead.I should have turned the television off after the first quarter of Game 4 of the NBA finals.  I was just too enthralled by the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers were demolishing the Boston Celtics.  I wanted the Lakers to keep this intensity up and take their morale out.  As it turned out, it was just a false sense of security the 24 point lead the Lakers had had.

The Warlords

Warlords...Starring an all-star cast with Jet Li (Hero, Forbidden Kingdom), Andy Lau (Infernal Affairs) and Takeshi Kaneshiro (House of Flying Daggers); this movie is set during the Qing Dynasty when Empress Dowager Cixi ruled the lands of China. The story is about a lost general meeting local bandits to rejoin the army to find greatness and glory. Among other things, a brotherhood is formed like the three muscatels except due to selfishness and drama; it all gets broken down. Betrayal, control, obsession. All characters are developed well and acted wonderfully. I cannot find much complaint.

Salivating at first glance

TasteSpottingDo you love to eat? Having trouble finding a good website with awesome recipes? What about those gourmet meals prepared you see on the Food Network in HD? Yeah, ingredients are fine but most websites offer dry articles and scarce directions. I found, however, that this site is just pure eye candy bliss for food. All types from steaks to desserts. I now just want to share it with you and make sure you are all aware of it.

Don’t bust a Paul Pierce

Ahhh! The pain... the pain!!!I can hear it now. All over the world where people are playing basketball and someone gets hurt, the comment, “Don’t bust a Paul Pierce!” will be forever immortalized. I saw game 1 of the NBA finals and thought the Lakers were actually doing really well until Paul Pierce thought he blew his knee out. His injury unfortunately was not severe at all. It was so insignificant that his over exaggerated agony of display of pain and then being carried off court is so much drama that no one on this side can deny. He was carried off the court by teammates and trainer to the entry hall then wheeled away in a wheel chair. He sat in the locker room for maybe 5 minutes and came back out.
