matchbook.boxes - A Time Capsule of Art

It could be simplicity of the size, the odor of the wooden matches when lit, or the art and design that is created on the limited space. I cannot say when I decided to start collecting matchboxes but it has always intrigued me. It is a souvenir, a memory and a time capsule all bound into one.

These days, it is harder to come by unless you are an avid traveler and you stay at hotels or eat at nice restaurants. I find the coolest matchboxes come from these places. A matchbox serves several purposes:

The Fox That Rox!

Foxy LogoGo Foxy! This little software is a peer to peer program like Limewire or Napster; but it is a Chinese software where most of the files shared are Chinese songs.

It is easy to navigate and to use just like the more popular peer to peer programs out there. Most of the media content is fairly new and the quality is good as well. It may not be like torrent content where it is usually complete albums, but this gives you a chance to listen to popular songs out right now.

Traveling Smart for the Business Traveler

If traveling from city to city and staying at different hotels is your game; then you definitely travel with a laptop so you can get your office work done while your on the road. Problem is, this laptop could be a loaner laptop from your company and many times, its configuration settings are already set.

The biggest pain is to find out that your laptop is not configured properly and you will not be able to get out onto the internet whether you are in your guest room or in a meeting room. So here, I offer some tips for you to ask your IT department to configure for you so that once you are away, you will still be able to utilize your laptop.
