To Send but Not Able To: Email Troubles

This is a typical question I am asked about frequently. Especially if you have just moved and were using your previous ISP (internet service provider) carrier’s email address. Here is an example:

Your email address is johndoe@carrier1.net and all your settings are set for that. You do not want to change your email address so you keep it even though carrier2 has given you an email address as well. However, your POP3 and SMTP settings are still set for carrier1 which most likely could be mail.carrier1.net for both POP3 and SMTP.
