This website and blog is green, its new and has a lot to catch up to. At the moment, it is not more than a week old. After doing research and submitting my domain name into search engines; sadly, it is still not being crawled.

How much time does it take for search engines to pick up on a site? I tag all my posts and pages and I even have this SEO manager widget for Wordpress. I desperately even submitted my own articles into Digg.com in hopes that readers will find it.

So why is it difficult to get placed? I think a problem is you have all these Search Engine websites that let you submit websites through them to the large search engines. However, they all seem very spam-like. Another problem is when you do submit a website to the larger search engines, they do not notify you when your page has been entered into their database. I already know the reason for that because there are hundreds of thousands of websites and subdomain sites being added. Everything is computerized and calculated through algorithms and tagged.

At the moment, I am having a difficult time driving traffic here but like all SEO sites recommend; it is you cannot beat good content. The more content I have, the better my page will fare and thus it will be picked up by all the search engines.

How would you market your website? Whether it be business or personal? I’d like to hear your tips and thoughts to this. I will update as I find more effective ways to market my site.
