project.web.development

My interest in making homepages started back in 1996 when we were using Mac’s to put together a presentation for a class in high school. That is the first time I was exposed to making homepages and linking pages and drawing multimedia images for a Biology class project. After experiencing that I have always had a passion for multimedia development. Then my family bought a Windows 95 machine and (cue drum roll) 56k modem. It opened up a whole new world to me from late night chats on Yahoo! chat and IRC to creating web homepage rings on Geocities. This is also when I started experimenting with Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw 3D and Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Come 2007, I have always tried to stay current but throughout the years, I have not dedicated much time to improving my already outdated HTML skills and multimedia aptitude. Suddenly, my friend has an ecommerce site which I felt lacked functionality and personality so I decided to re-do the entire site. However, it eventually opened up a passion from the past and since May of 2007, I have been on the fast track to re-learn HTML and the new Web 2.0 standards such as XHTML and using CSS.
